Wellness and You How to Thrive in 2024

I’m gearing up for our annual Sugar Detox which started in January. For me, it can’t come at a better time. I tend to relax and enjoy all the tasty treats friends and family make over the holidays with no regret but with a plan that it has to STOP. I send out menus designed to end cravings and daily encouragement and before you know it, the cravings cease!

Thirty years ago, I had very elevated triglycerides, all of which were caused by too much sugar. Once I changed my eating and got away from sweets they returned to normal, so I know that’s what I need to do. And doing it with a group of other motivated people makes it so much more pleasant.

I’ve come to learn that sugar is a truly addictive food and going cold turkey after the holidays stops that addiction in its tracks.

So for now, I have 2 programs on my Wellness and You calendar, the first being the detox and the second is for Reiki practitioners who want to come together for a virtual group session.
