Winter's Trees

When bare branches are covered with fresh fallen snow on Winter’s trees.
like ballerinas, adorned in white, dance with the wind with grace and ease
It becomes a winter wonderland that only Mother Nature supplies,
with a captivating scene that brings such beauty to one’s eyes.
However, short lived when the sun comes out,
for there lies a melt-down that comes about
And the branches, no longer white, go back to being bare,
and wait for the Spring when their buds will begin to fare.
The buds on the branches will blossom into green leaves
no longer bare branches but full -grown trees.
We bid farewell to our statues of white with their grace and ease,
and look forward to their performing next year on Winter’s trees.
