Colors for the New Year

I wore a new pair of multi-colored knee highs on New Year’s Day,

with the hope that colorful happenings will come my way. 

These knee highs have repeated colored bands of yellow, blue,

turquoise, pink, orange and black.

Yellow, being the brightest color on the chart signifies happiness,

optimism and intellect.

Blue, is the color of trust, security and loyalty.

Turquoise, Is the color of compassion, calmness and clarity.

Pink, is the color of love and playfulness.

Orange, is the color of emotion and enthusiasm.

And Black, being the color of mystery, luxury and maturity.

Each of these colors have a method and a motive,

to keep us moving forward and always being positive.

From heel to toe, these colors will put a bounce in our step,

 and prepare us to walk with much pride and lots of pep.
