Two total strangers busily shopping in a very attractive Christmas setting at a Marshalls store, walked into the clearance aisle simultaneously. However, they were walking in opposite directions, and with the aisle being quite narrow, they had to come to a complete stop, or they would have crashed into each other with their carriages.

Fortunately, they both stopped at the right time.   They laughed and introduced themselves.  I’m Rose said the woman from the opposite side of the aisle, and I’m Lilly from the right side of the aisle, and by coincidence, our names are my favorite flowers. Immediately, a common bond was formed.  They started to converse like they had been friends for years.

Lilly now showed Rose what she was planning on buying.  It was a comforter for her bedroom and she asked her thoughts about it. Rose loved it and that confirmed Lilly’s choice.  Now that they both helped each other, it was time to go on with their shopping.

Before they were about to go on their way, Rose mentioned that she had surgery, and this was the first day she was able to go out and shop. She seemed concerned about her health because now she had just been informed by her doctor that she needed more tests. Lilly, being a very powerful and positive believer, told Rose that her upcoming tests would be fine.

Lily was certain that somewhere in Rose’s new green stocking, a wealth of good health was awaiting her.  Rose was so touched by Lilly’s remark, she suddenly knew that she would regain her health and enjoy a happy holiday season.  Be it the power of suggestion, the unexpected meeting of a total stranger, fate, or faith can succeed in helping to turn uncertainty into hope.

Happy Holidays!
