We the people by gene gallinAmidst the rain and the constant chanting of “No Kings,” about two thousand protesters gathered together on Saturday morning to peacefully protest against the enormity of outlandish and cruel decisions that we are being subjected to, every day in communities all over the United States of America,  because of You Know Who.

We, the protestors, carried various signs describing the polarization and distortions that have become a constant in our lives, and with an unjust fear of losing our democracy.

The traffic, up and down the Main Square, was a continuous musical treat.  The crowds holding posters requesting that the drivers honk their horns if they love Democracy.  It was truly a symphony conducted by almost every driver.   They led the music not by using batons, but by constantly blaring their horns in unison.  Even with the rain, beautiful and meaningful sounds purified the air and filled it with hope for the return of our democracy.  We will continue to gather strength and unity from these peaceful protests.  For we, the people, have the power to gain back our democracy and freedom.

 A Positive Protestor.
