Awoken by Bird Song

The dawn chorus
Amazing how loud
black and white fur ball jumps on the bed
strong purr of love and nudge with her head
The cacophony is louder 04:46
not ready for the day, will I fall back
The sound of a Car passing interrupts
Such variety of song, a true battle
Notice me, choose me, desire to be heard
I stay in my bed, not wanting to rise
Their song is now muted, distant
more cars now than birds
The day has begun
